SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

Digital Media Buyer

Only 12% of women-owned businesses cross the 6-figure mark (and only 2% break $1 million).

We’re determined to drive this percentage up (way up), because studies show that when women make more money, they change the world.

OUR MISSION

We help women take more action, earn more, and create a life of more choices.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Life Before Business

No launch, upcoming deadline, or rejected Facebook ad is important enough to take us away from our families when they need us or if life requires us to step away for a moment. We’re on a mission to help our employees, clients, and students create a business that will serve this “life first” philosophy as well.

Integrity

When we tell a client, friend, colleague, or loved one we’re going to do something, we do it — and we go all in on serving. We aren’t afraid to tell the truth even when it ain't pretty. We give credit where credit is due. We show up on time and we take deadlines (both client deadlines and self-imposed ones) seriously. When we make a mistake, we admit it with an open heart and mind.

Win small, win early, win often

Around here, we chase small wins with the same ambition as those big ones, because we know that it’s the small moments in between that propel us forward.

community

We treat every team member, contractor, and new student who enrolls in one of our programs like family. That means we’re loyal, we support each other no matter what and yep, we may dole out a little tough love as needed to give someone a kick in the yoga pants they need to realize their full potential.

Relationships Over Revenue

There’s room for all of us at the party. We don't shy away from crediting our competitors or inviting them to be on our podcast. We’d never do anything to compromise the relationships we’ve built.

SERVITUDE

We do everything out of service, from our podcast and trainings to each email we send. We pride ourselves on responding to students, clients, and members within 24 hours and our replies always, always come from a place of love and respect.

KISS (Keep It Simple, Sweetie)

Whether we’re recommending a project management system or helping our Beta to Biggie clients get their evergreen funnel up and running, the simpler the better. We help our clients get out of information overload and into implementation mode, because at the end of the day that’s what moves the business forward.

WE RUN A VIRTUAL SHIP

✔ We don’t have a central HQ
✔ Our team members and clients are all over the world
✔ You can work from bed, the coffee shop, or the beach as long as you meet your deadlines
✔ We don’t have meetings for the sake of meetings (and when we do have Zoom meetings, a messy bun and leggings are totally cool)

You would be a great fit for us if:

✔ You’re someone who does what you say you’re going to do

✔ You’re committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and you’re passionate about strengthening your commitment and learning more alongside the rest of our team

✔ The idea of working for a female-run company makes you say, “hell yeah”

✔ You’re resourceful and accept honest feedback well

 ✔ You’re customer-focused

✔ You’re cool with drinking fancy champagne from a Solo cup

✔ You’re looking for a career, not a side hustle

✔ You like making bank, but you’re also committed to helping make an impact

OPEN POSITIONS

Job Title: Social Media Specialist

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our Marketing team!

We’re in the business of producing impactful, actionable, digital programs to empower and teach business owners how to start, grow, and scale their business online. Our team is small and closely-knit, and our business is completely virtual. Which means you get to work from home, with no pants on, or poolside the choice is yours. And our company culture is based on 7 core values: Life Before Business, Integrity, Community, Servitude, Win Often, Relationships Over Revenue, Keep It Simple Sweetie.

We are definitely biased -- but I’m pretty sure we are one of the sweetest jobs out there. And I really believe that this work is changing the world here at Brandi And Company. (You will see what I mean when you check out the website!)

Honestly, the job is not all rainbows and butterflies— there is some good news and there is some bad news…

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first:

The hours are weird. At first, we may have 15 hours a week, but some months during launches it might be more like 35, and then as you start to get more familiar with our business + seasonality, it might grow to 40/week consistently. So, if you’re looking for something full-time to start, then this is no longer the “coolest” part-time social media specialist job ever, it just became the “suckiest” and probably isn’t a good fit. I’m looking for someone who can join the team with these part-time hours, but feel like this is their full-time home.

Now let’s talk about the good stuff:

1. Our office is virtual 80% of the time...which means you can wear yoga pants, or pajamas, or a bathing suit. Really the idea is that you can wear whatever you want. Just think of the amazing money you’ll be saving on ‘work clothes’ and the time not commuting every single day. However, there is 20% of the year that we would need you to come into the office or help with live events in the Tampa Bay/Sarasota area.

2. The work is fun, fresh, and dynamic. You will be working directly with our founder, and helping with a mix of organic marketing, on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Pinterest. We are a fast growing company with an owner that geeks out over ads, launching, and funnels (she even teaches these topics in our programs); but she can’t be doing #allthethings -- that’s where you come in! You will be responsible for helping with the growth of the company through organic social media strategies.

3. You’ll have a ton of autonomy + the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table and share strategies when you think we should try something new. Seriously -- I want you to own this position and bring fresh/innovative ideas and strategies to the table.

4. We aren’t big on stress. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around. So never be afraid to ask questions.

5. Never work on your birthday again! We believe birthdays should be a day of fun, relaxation, celebration, and of course lots of gifts. So head to the beach, Disney, kick up your feet and binge Netflix, we don’t care what you do, just don’t come to work!

6. We LOVE to WIN! We are not a normal company. We experience hockey stick growth and love to set and crush our goals, which means we love to win! We don’t only celebrate the big wins, we celebrate all wins. We always say win small, win early, win often.

7. You have always exhibited a crazy balance of being creative and innovative while also being organized, strategic and methodical. You defy the standard left brain/right brain dichotomy and bring uniquely rounded skills to the table. You are in your genius zone when you’re crafting creative content with big picture goals in mind.

8. Experience not necessary. We are looking for someone with common knowledge and skills on Facebook and Instagram. However we teach everything in-house for social media (Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc…). We love a good online course or program that we can put into ACTION. We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn the most cutting-edge digital marketing skills in the industry. ...which means you can wear yoga pants, or pajamas, or a bathing suit. Really the idea is that you can wear whatever you want. Just think of the amazing money you’ll be saving on ‘work clothes’ and the time not commuting every single day. However, there is 20% of the year that we would need you to come into the office or help with live events in the Tampa Bay/Sarasota area.

Now, let’s talk about the job requirements:

1. You like being on the computer a lot, and being tech savvy. We like to keep it simple in our business, but the media buyer will need to be able to navigate through software, email service provider, social media channels, ad manager etc… (all software training will be provided)

2. Exceptional writing and grammar skills. You need to be a good writer + editor (you don’t need to be an expert copywriter, but Brandi makes enough of her own typos, so she’ll expect decent writing and meticulous editing from you).

3. You need to be able to think strategically and bring ideas to the table of opportunities that we haven’t yet seen or taken advantage of to drive the business forward. And then you need to be able to map out and execute those ideas alongside the team. Think: new strategies, ideas for expanding our reach, new graphic ideas or videos ideas - anything that you see we can be doing better that will help our business grow, have at it!

4. You love copywriting + creating graphics. You need to be excited to write long form captions using voice guides and create graphics that stop the scroll. You don’t need to have been a graphic design major in college, but you should be able to use a voice and brand guide in order to plan, create, and publish content.

5. You love details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half-assed. You have high standards when it comes to the quality of your work and take pride in getting the job done right and catching the details others would miss.

6. You get the dang thing done - Must be willing to juggle multiple tasks at once without forgetting details or missing deadlines. — you get things done and meet deadlines

Now let’s talk some of the things you’ll get to do:

✔ Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for social media content that will help elevate the brand and its message
✔ Tracking metrics (how are our channels growing? Where should we put more time and effort? What is converting to new students?) + making data-driven recommendations + decisions on how to move the business forward.
✔ Ensuring all marketing assets are aligned and consistent with our brand standards — you understand that what sets us apart isn’t just our marketing strategy, but the quality of our copy, design, and user experience.
✔ Constantly searching for new strategies and opportunities. Being aware of current trends, changes to platforms and best practices in order to get the most from our content
✔ Scheduling out weekly posts on all platforms to align with marketing efforts
✔ Develop high level social media marketing plan to help best support our marketing objectives
✔Basic editing of images and videos
✔ Be able to pull out key moments from videos, podcast and live streams to submit to Repurpose House - these will become micro videos to post on our social media.

In short, this job is perfect for the person who loves marketing, being on social media, analytics, and is up for learning new things. Our virtual office is casual, but we do expect professionalism and we always meet deadlines. Social media management experience is preferred but not required. This position is approximately 20-35 hours per week with the exception of product launch periods. Product launch periods are conducted approximately 4 times per year with an approximate duration of one week. During a product launch period, you will be required to dedicate anywhere between 35-40 hours per week. The hours are flexible within specifically allotted time frames and you will be required to have a personal computer.

If this is a job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer from you. But if you prefer compensation (I totally get it…we prefer getting paid as well) this is what we can offer:

- This is a part time job with possibility of moving into full time
- The pay is $15-$25 an hour (depending on experience)
- This is an 80% virtual role, so you can work from wherever is most comfortable -- but we’d prefer someone who is located in the Tampa Bay/ Sarasota area.

In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detail oriented and can follow procedures, when you apply for this position, make sure to include an exclamation point after your last name.

If our company’s core values resonate with you and you are interested in joining our amazing team, please provide us with your resume, tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to reply to this job post. Please explain in 8 -10 sentences why you believe that you are the perfect fit for this position and please complete the following survey and personality test as well.
